So the plan this weekend involves coding and sleeping. Or sleeping and coding. Maybe some video games as well, it's yet to be determined.
My trouble sleeping has gone away, and been replaced by perpetual fatigue. Ideally I'll get lots of sleep this weekend.
Our second customer has said "yes."
I got a laptop from work. One of my coworkers wanted a smaller one and I wanted one, so we rotated the machines at work and now I have a giant laptop. It's about 2" thick and has a 17" wide-screen monitor. It's the most powerful dev machine in the office, and now I can bring it home and work more.
As my posting gets more and more infrequent, more things seem to happen in the interum.
We did our last major update before going back into developer mode for 6 weeks. It's due to finish up around the end of May. I'm hoping to get my work done earlier rather than later so that I can keep some regularity in the other parts of my life.
Last night, the women of my small group organized and got together for girls night. In response, the guys organized a guy's night. Well, maybe "organized" might not be the right term. There were only three of us, and one of us was late because he was still doing his taxes. Dinner involved chipotle and the main form of entertainment was watching "
Leon (The Professional)." About the only bit of planning involved was the host borrowing the LCD projector from work, so we got to watch the movie on his wall.
This week went smoother than last week. I got to work on parts of the project I've been wanting to, and the results are excellent. If this coming week goes as well, I will be very pleased.
I spent my weekend doing taxes just as a certain journalist did, but unfortunately what I owe is quite higher. On one of the deductions sheets, I saw that you could deduct the cost of the tax preparer. I think next year I'll either get it prepared or I'll use software to do it, most likely the latter.
At church tonight, I was helping one of the guys make the mocha mix for the espresso bar. The first step is making room in the gallon jug of milk for the cream and the chocolate. He used to poor it down the sink, but that was just so wasteful. So he started drinking the milk, but to make enough space, he needed to drink about 48 oz of milk (a quart and a half). So my contribution was to drink a glass and a half (24 oz). Later, we made another and I drank another glass and a half. I didn't feel sick or anything, just very full (I also had a couple of slices of pizza in me). I need to drink more milk more often.
