Cars
I spent 3 hours this weekend working on my car.
Saturday night, I was trying to change one of the headlight bulbs. Unfortunately, there wasn't much space between it and the battery so we pulled the battery. Then I didn't get the bulb in just right and it would have blinded people.
Sunday afternoon I changed the wheels / tires. I'm going racing Saturday and I wanted to drive on the tires for a bit before. I feel every bump on the road. Every. Single. Crease. Crack. Pebble. It reminds me why these aren't my daily driver tires.
Pet Peeves
Does anyone know of ways (or resources to find ways) of how to get over Pet Peeves? I have a few that I wish didn't bother me (but wishing hasn't gotten me anywhere in 6 years).
Whether the Weather...
I got spoiled last year. Though December and January and in to February, it was in the high 70s and low 80s. This year, it's in the mid 60s and occasionally rainy and I don't like it. Admittedly, being constantly told that 68 is cold does tend to sway one's views.
Red & White Day
For once I'm not single on Valentines Day. Yet, I'm still eating dinner alone in my apartment and doing school work! Oh well.
I still had my fun. Brittany loved the flowers I sent her. And my little prank got a laugh...
At lunch today, one of the guys asked my Irish coworker what "Object Oriented Design" (OOD) would be in the Irish language. I asked if it had something to do with a bar design; perhaps a bar designed for patrons to throw their bottles. Or would that be "Flying Object Oriented Design" (FOOD), which happens to be available in most pubs.
Food, food, and more food!
Brittany came to visit me this weekend. It was sort of an early Valentine's day for us (since valentine's day falls on a Wednesday this year). She came in late on Thursday (9:30 pm) and left early this morning (8:00 am).
The highlight of the weekend was going to
The Marine Room. My only disappointment was that there was no sunset that night (as you can see from the picture, that is one of the main reasons to go there!). We also had two meals at
Noodles, one dinner from
Carl's Jr., a lunch at UTC mall's food court, brunch with my parent's at the
San Diego Yacht Club, and dinner at
Pizza Nova (for Rob's Birthday). So much good food!
With everything going on between the various meal plans and getting the ring sized (not
the ring,
a ring), we didn't have much time to just bum around and do nothing. The weekend went by too quick.
Edit:
Does anyone know where my black sweatshirt went? It disappeared this morning, and I suspect it hopped on a flight to Orlando...
From Orlando with...
She's coming tomorrow... :-)
