Summer is Here!
Last week, my partner and I presented our project and turned in the final paper. As of Friday at about 4:30, we can now enjoy our summer. (or at least I can, he had other classes).
I spent this weekend doing three things:
- Spending time with Brittany
- Playing Medieval Total War 2
- Playing Final Fantasy XII
Brittany and I started taking Tango lessons at work. They have free dance classes on Thursday nights, and they take place in the cafeteria (how... high school-ish). The second dance is the hustle (we won't be doing that one). It was quite enjoyable, and we'll be going back this week. Saturday night, we watched The Fugitive. Brittany hadn't seen it before. Sunday night we tried watching The Pink Panther (... again), but Brittany fell asleep (... again). Ironically, it was right when the princess passes out from drinking too much.
On MTW2: I quite enjoy this game. After learning so much about the history surrounding the rise and fall of Rome, I now am learning about a part of history that is both well known and obscure. Everyone knows about knights, but not everyone knows that France conquered England with the Pope's blessing.
On FFXII: I'm just about an hour into the game. So far, I'm enjoying the small details and the parallels with FF Tactics Advance (I haven't played FFT). I am not a huge fan of the battle system, but I'm still willing to give it a try. I hope they go back to the FFX system.
